			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We now have <strong>3 self practice &#8216;Mysore&#8217; classes</strong> running at <strong>Stonemonkey</strong>. If you enjoy <strong>Ashtanga vinyasa Yoga</strong> and you&#8217;ve never tried self practice it really is the best way to establish a personal practice that you can take with you anywhere enabling you to develop a daily practice. You are required to practice on your own within a group setting with the teachers guiding you through the&#8217;primary series sequence&#8217;. The classes are suitable for all levels of practitioner.</p>
<p>The classes are run by <strong>Digby &amp;  Ben</strong> both passionate teachers with over <strong>10 years experience each</strong> in Ashtanga Yoga. They will help you develop your practice with care and understanding. The list of  self practice classes can be seen below.</p>
<p><strong>Wednesday 11.30 am with Ben</strong></p>
<p><strong>Wednesday 5.00-7.30pm with Digby</strong></p>
<p><strong>Sunday 9.30-12 noon with Ben</strong></p>
<p><strong>Also if you live in the Stratford area Ben will be running early morning classes at Buzz cafe in Stratford</strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Another great workshop with Edward Clarke! Ed and Nikki returned to Stonemonkey bringing their understanding and take on the Vinyasa method. Testing everyone&#8217;s ability to stay focused on the form of the asana. The focus was on understanding the true form of vinyasa with no breaks in breath or movement pure vinyasa! Ed &amp; Nikki encouraging people to feel the breath throughout the body opening energy lines for the prana to bring expansion to the asana, which made for intense focus both mentally and physically!</p>
<p>A big thank you To Ed &amp; Niki and to everyone who attended the day.</p>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Inverted postures and backbends</span></p>
<p>Edward Clark will take students on an exploration of the dynamic potential of backbends and inversions within the framework of Tripsichore Yoga Theatre&#8217;s vinyasa technique. This workshop will start with the fundamental relationships of pranayama and asana and pranayama and movement/flow. As we progress, it will focus on inversions and backbends within this framework of breath, pose and flow.</p>
<p>There are two aspects to inversions and back bends – the thrill of the spectacularly acrobatic and the peace of nearly effortless balancing. Both require skill and physical intelligence. They also require a degree of courage and a willingness to experiment. There are many methods used to attain inverted postures as well as back bends and a fantastic number of variations are possible. We will look at a number of these in this workshop. We will, however, be confining our explorations to what we see as having a distinctly yogic approach. The postures will be attempted using the yogic methods concerning breathing and focus. This means that they are – comparatively – safe to attempt. A deeper practice isn’t just about achieving harder postures. Rather, it is also about the grace with which you perform them.</p>
