Ashtanga Yoga beginners course  – Part 2
6 week course

This course will follow on from part 1.  Continuing the teaching of the self practice method of Ashtanga Yoga.
The first course focus is on the self practice of the Sun salutations (Surya Namaskara),  this course will be teaching you the standing sequence, the beginning postures of the seated sequence & elements of the finishing sequence, all of which you will commit to memory so that you are prepared for our self practice classes.

Self practice is the most beneficial way to practise yoga as it allows you to develop strength, flexibility & stamina at  your own pace. So that everyone can work too their own individual needs and develop a Yoga practice you can use at home or in our self practices classes.
Students on this course will also be able to attend our self practice classes for the reduced price of £5.

This 6 week course will introduce you to the basics of Ashtanga vinyasa Yoga.
The course builds slowly introducing the core techniques of Breath, movement and alignment.
This will provide you with a solid foundation on which to build your Yoga practice and encourage you to develop your own Yoga self practice.

This 8 week course on Ashtanga Yoga is for those that have completed the part 1 course.
We continue to build slowly the core techniques of Breath, movement and alignment that were looked at in the first course, moving onto the technique involved in moving into the seated postures & finishing sequence.
This will provide you with a solid foundation on which to build your Yoga practice and encourage you to develop your own Yoga self practice.

August Holiday timetable

I wil be away for a week beginning Saturday 5th August until Monday 14th August classes will resume on the 15th.
While I’m away there will be no regular Ashtanga classes but the studio will be open for self practice from Tuesday 8th to Saturday 12th 9.30 – Noon.
Please leave a donation with the cafe staff for use of the room. (suggested donation £3/4)
