My first experience of yoga was attending a weekly pregnancy yoga class in east London in 1998-99, though it was more about meeting and chatting with like-minded women than doing much yoga. I moved to Leamington Spa in 2002 and started attending Mark Freeth’s yoga classes in 2003. I was hooked immediately and began attending several classes a week, as well as workshops with various teachers over the years such as Richard Freeman, Liz Lark, Ana Forrest and Edward Clark. I completed Mark’s teacher training in 2007 and began teaching in early 2009.

At my class we do a dynamic, flowing sequence of postures (such as sun salutations, standing and seated postures, inversions – backbends, shoulderstand and/or headstand), different each week depending on who is in class and perhaps a specific theme such as hip- or shoulder-opening, balancing or postures named after birds!  We often do a gentle warm-up sequence at the start and we always rest at the end. My class is suitable for all levels (as long as you are reasonably active) as I show you modified versions of the poses if necessary.  I am also available for one-to-one yoga sessions – call me on 07941 944 399 to discuss.  For more information and comments from students who have attended my classes see paulajonesyoga.co.uk. I look forward to seeing you in class.
